Find the Acoustic/Electric Combo That's Right For You Epiphone's legacy as a great instrument maker isn't limited to legendary electric guitars like the Casino, the Wilshire and the Ultra III. The House of Stathopoulo actually made its name in the mid 20's as a great acoustic instrument maker of banjos, archtops, and acoustic guitars. Today, Epiphone acoustic/electrics are a favorite of fans and critics alike. Here's a look at three unique models, the AJ-200SCE, EJ-200CE and our Masterbilt DR-500MCE. Find the acoustic/electric combo that's right for you and discover why performance is still our passion at Epiphone. The AJ-220SCE has long been our best selling acoustic guitar with the look, sound, and build quality that first time players and professionals expect to hear when they pick up an Epiphone. The Advanced Jumbo style was first produced at the legendary Kalamazoo factory in the 1930s has been a favorite of musicians from every field of popular music ever since.

The Advanced Jumbo sound is commanding when required but it's also well balanced which makes it perfect for stage and studio. Now with a killer cutaway and the Shadow Performer Tuner pickup system, the AJ-220SCE goes yet another step above the competition.

The Epiphone EJ-200CE pushes the 'King of the Flat Tops,' into the future with a spectacular cutaway for total upper fret access plus the eSonic2™ preamp system. Originally introduced in 1937, the J-200 style set a standard for guitar excellence that others have been trying to match ever since. Today--over 70 years later--the legacy of the 'King of the Flat-tops' lives on in our EJ 200CE. When it comes to acoustic guitar tone and quality, nothing performs like an all-solid wood instrument. Harking back to the 1930's and our heritage as masters of acoustic guitar design, the Epiphone Masterbilt DR-500MCE combines traditional construction methods and historic features with premium all solid tone woods to bring you a new 'vintage' instrument with deep rich lows, shimmering highs and a balanced mid-range. While many other guitars in this price class use pressed backs, spliced neck joints and even artificial wood backs and sides, you can be assured that every Masterbilt holds true to it's all solid wood promise.

So I just got the Masterbuilt with the Esonic 2. Just put in new batterys. And the tuner doesnt seem to work. It lights up and just goes to the red light low. Also I plug it in and it buzzes HORRIBLY and seems to have what seems like a bad ground for the Nanoflex or what ever the rear pickup is. I put the blend on the mag pickup and it goes away.

Anyone else have this problem?? I dont want to return the guitar because the neck was the best I felt out of them all. I also dont want to have to send it back to Epiphone or call them.

Is there something I am missing?? Anyone have any other problems with this pickup system?? I know my fault for not trying the guitar out before buying it.

But the salesmen was a buddy I have bought several guitars off. Omniplan osx rapidshare downloads mp3 Sounds like a bad preamp, I've had my DR 500ME since Jan. 2009 - ESonic2 system sounds great but I can't leave the batteries in it or they drain. Your tuner work without the cable plugged in. The electronics are warranted for 1 year by Epiphone, and if you registered with Shadow Electronics separately (they make the ESonic2 system) the electronics are warranted for 5 years by them.

I returned the guitar to the dealer, they couldn't find a problem and then I contacted Shadow directly. Like you I loved the instruments sound and playability and didn't want to send it back to Epiphone, shipping fees, hassle, etc. So decided to let their warranty on the electronics expire and take it up with Shadow Electronics at a later date.
