I think it is because the sky+ recording problem has resurfaced, so by limiting the amount of dolby people record they limit the amount of complaints. Plus because the channel is in dolby but the film is in ds you only get stereo because the amp doesnt switch to prologic. And blade 3 was DS, annoyed with that only getting stereo for such a dd film. Then your amp is setup incorrectly.

If its set right,any 5.1 material should say so,while anything thats not in 5.1 should automatically switch to PL2/PL1. Switching between standard DolbySurround and 5.1 and back again should all happen without any button pushing if your amp is set up correctly. Sky movies 1,2,3 are constantly broadcast in Dolby digital, even the adverts but not always in DD5.1 some are broadcast in DD surround which is displayed as DS in the synopsis but it is still a Dolby digital stream just not 5.1 unlike the DS on SM 4-10 which is a pro-logic stream if you have a good quality amp, it will display all this That's pretty much correct.
